Luke writes in Acts 17:12 that “the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”
The Bereans didn’t even trust Paul at his word. Good for them! Every believer should do the same, to verify what their pastors and ministers and reli-bloggers them them on the basis of the Scriptures, the so called Old Testament. And don’t forget to scrutinise everything I have written, too.
